The top floor of the main CFL headquarters building dating from the 1950s and located at the main train station of the city of Luxembourg has been redesigned. It offers a contemporary working atmosphere with meeting facilities and an inviting place for employees of the railway company, who can come here for discussions in a break area.
The idea of creating a breakaway area that offers space for relaxation away from the workplace and a destination for meeting and improving internal communication processes was at the root of the concept.
The breakaway area is also designed to accommodate larger team meetings.
The design incorporates an almost 360 ° panoramic view of the surrounding city centre of Luxembourg. The window ledges are fronted by stepped seating made of oak, which provides a magnificent view for users. Shaping the space and forming a connection between the individual functional areas, the central island hosts a coffee and tea self-service facility.
