Information week on the development of Kayl-Nord (LUX)
The municipality of Kayl is developing the new Kayl-Nord neighbourhood over the next few decades. On this area, which is still used for agricultural purposes today, new high-quality and affordable housing is to be built in a near-natural, liveable environment. Due to the special local and national importance of the Kayl-Nord neighbourhood, the municipality aims to actively involve citizens & property owners in the planning process at an early stage.
The first component was represented by a 4-day information week in May of this year. In total, the municipality of Kayl organised four events in cooperation with our office during this period:
- Monday, 22.05.2023 - Presentation of the current planning status in the Kayl municipal council
- Tuesday, 23.05.2023 - Presentation of the current planning status to the property owners
- Wednesday, 24.05.2023 - Presentation of the current planning status to property developers
- Thursday, 25.05.2023 - Citizen information event on the current planning status & launch of the citizen participation
All events were attented with interest by politicians, citizens and property owners. We are pleased with the conclusions of this first information week and are looking forward to the next stages in the development of the Kayl-Nord building area.
